Dear Samuel Moncada

Manchester Cuba Solidarity Campaign would like to offer its condolences and deepest sympathy to the people of Venezuela.

Latin America is the one place where we are seeing the building of an alternative vision for humanity – one where the dignity of human life takes centre stage.

Hugo Chavez has been a central figure in making that vision become a reality.

Together with the Venezuelan people we mourn his loss.

But we know that he will continue to live on with us: his achievements are the achievements of the Venezuelan people and the hope of a better world.

Bruce Rafeek
