Manchester CSC is affiliated to the National Cuba Solidarity Campaign. We work to improve understanding of Cuba and its social system and the aggression that the country has suffered and continues to suffer from its neighbour the United States. We are campaigning against the US economic blockade, for the freedom of the 5 Cubans, wrongly imprisoned in the USA in their attempts to prevent terrorist attacks, and for improved policy towards Cuba from the UK and European Union.
We are also working with partner organisations in the Matanzas province on projects to improve the quality of life of older people, disabled children, and people in small country communities. Our current project is with a Tree Nursery being developed by a small farmer's coop in the east of the province.
